Autumn Update!

Hello Camp Chewonki Families,

It’s hard to believe that September is almost over and autumn is officially upon us. The autumn equinox brought the first day of real fall weather to Chewonki Neck. Fall programs are in full swing and although it’s definitely quieter than camp season, the Neck is a buzz with Maine Coast Semester students and Outdoor Classroom participants.

Since summer ended, we’ve had some changes to the year-round camp team. Leslie Hunter moved on from Chewonki after ten years of working at Camp Chewonki. We are so grateful to Leslie for her years of commitment to Chewonki families and the camp program. We miss Leslie already and know many of you will as well. We are excited to introduce Toben Cooney-Callnan, the new Camp Chewonki Administrator. You can read more about Toben below! As Camp Administrator, Toben will support families with the enrollment process, forms and preparing for camp, travel logistics, and summer mail. You can reach Toben at camp@chewonki.org or tcallnan@chewonki.org.

Wishing everyone a wonderful start to fall!
