Level up your leadership skills with this three-part challenge
Ideal for teens who aspire to lead youngsters in the outdoors, this challenging program covers lots of ground in just three weeks.
- Week 1: Canoe the Allagash Wilderness Waterway, with a focus on outdoor, expeditionary, and leadership skills.
- Week 2: Wilderness First Responder training and certification plus trip planning, at Chewonki Necki.
- Week 3: Hike rugged Grafton Notch, practicing leadership and decision-making along the way.
Successful completion prepares you to join Camp Chewonki as a Trip Counselor or Trip Leader, depending on your age.
Requirements: Expeditionary experience through a Chewonki Loon, Kingfisher, or Canada Goose trip or similar, or a personal trip.

Length: 3 Weeks
Dates: July 23 — August 14
Eligible grades: Rising 12th graders, recent high school graduates
Group size: 6 — 8 plus 2 trip leaders
Starting location: Wiscasset, Maine
