Financial Aid
We strive to make our programs accessible to all participants. Chewonki is a 501c3 non-profit organization and each year we provide more than $400,000 in need-based financial aid to participants on a first-come first-serve basis. (We encourage you to apply early!) These funds come from a combination of our tuition, fundraising, and endowments generously contributed by camp alumni.
NEW! Based on feedback from our families, we’ve simplified our Financial Aid application and review process.
Important Updates for 2025:
-
There is no fee to apply for financial aid.
-
Applications will now be done through your CampInTouch account and not go through a third party agency. The form is much shorter than before!
-
Go to your Forms Dashboard to find the “Campership Financial Aid Application” form and “Campership Financial Aid- Tax Return” upload.
-
-
For families with parents/guardians living in separate households, each parent/guardian must submit a separate form and tax return. Please email camp@chewonki.org if this applies to you so we can ensure your household accounts are accurate in CampInTouch.
-
Enrollment will NOT be processed until we receive your completed Campership Financial Aid application and tax return. You should submit the form as soon as possible after submitting your Camper Application to ensure your camper’s application is processed in a timely manner. The $100 deposit will be charged when the application is processed after receiving the completed Financial Aid application(s).

The Campership Financial Aid Committee will meet once a month mid-month and applications should be submitted by the 15th of the month to be considered in that month’s meeting. Families can anticipate an email from the committee with our Campership Financial Aid offer during the third week of the month.
